This user guide will walk you through the process of integrating your website with DHL shipping and managing its services through the admin area.

Follow the steps below to get started:

Step 1: Installation

  1. Access the admin area of your website.
  2. Navigate to the "App Shop" and then the "Store" tabs.
  3. Perform a quick search to find the "DHL Shipping module version 1.0.0."
  4. Install the module on your website.
  5. Follow any on-screen prompts or instructions to complete the installation process.

Step 2: Customization

  1. After successful installation, go to the "Modules," "Shipping," and "Online" tabs in the admin area.
  2. Locate the DHL Shipping module and click on the “Edit” button to access the settings.

Step 3: Restrictions      

In the "Restrictions" section, you can:

  • Choose customer groups, countries, or website pages to restrict DHL shipping access.
  • Specify the shipping module name in both the backend and front end based on the desired language.
  • Enable package tracking for improved shipment monitoring.

Step 4: Settings

  1. Enable DHL shipping for your website.
  2. Choose between test and production web service modes, depending on your integration status.
  3. DHL Information: Enter essential DHL information in the corresponding fields to ensure proper functionality of the service:
    • DHL site ID, password, and payment account number.
    • Send from city name, send from country name, and postal code.
    • Select English or metric weight measurements based on your preference

4.DHL Network Type: Select the desired DHL network type based on your shipping needs:

  • AL: Both time and day definite
  • DD: Day definite
  • TD: Time definite


5. Allowed Product Codes: Choose the allowed product codes that align with your shipping requirements. For example:

  • AUTO REVERSALS [N/A]
  • B2C [BTC]
  • BREAKBULK EXPRESS [BBX]
  • DOMESTIC ECONOMY SELECT [DES]
  • and more.

6. Handling Fees: Offer domestic and international handling fees. Enter the desired fee value or percentage in the corresponding field.

7. Insurance and Tax: Specify insurance amounts or disable this option as needed.

  • Assign DHL shipping to specific shipping zones (All world, USA, EU) using the drop-down lists.
  • Use certain tax classes on shipping fees, if required.

8. Delivery Dates and Ownership: Manage delivery dates and ownership settings to provide better control over shipments.

  • Choose between "Use default" and "Use ownership" options for preferred delivery date rules.
  • Disable required days by checking the box next to the preferred day(s) of the week.

9. Set Shipping Display Order: To control the order in which shipping options are displayed during checkout, enter a value in the corresponding field. Lower values will prioritize DHL Shipping over other shipping methods.
